Grammar School as part of their Silver Anniversary of the Evening of Fine Music, August 2011 to showcase their clarinet ensemble.
Written in 3 sections, the opening 'Allegro quasi fantasia' features shimmering piano accompaniment (and hints of Dr Who). The middle section is a 'Largo - molto legato e espressivo' with a soaring lead clarinet line reminiscent of Mozart's famous Clarinet Concerto. This segues into the fast and exciting 'Maestoso' section, featuring hings of Pirates of the Carribbean mixed with Beethoven.
